Have any of us attended the Santa Fe Mac Users' Group <http://www.santafemug.org/>? They just celebrated their 20*th* anniversary, and we just passed our 10*th* a while ago. Maybe a representative could attend one of their meetings (I was thinking of doing so myself, although I have never really used a Macintosh) to evangelize free software and a common Unix heritage (or simply running GNU/Linux on Apple's hardware, as I know some of us do). -Arlo James Barnes
Arlo, In the past I followed their posts and talked with an attender of the basic user type, not a professional, and they were Mac-centric and focused on the visual advantages of the Macs, especially well adapted to photo editing. I am not sure they will appreciate an evangelist since they have their own good news stories. I cannot imagine they use the rather hog tied cammandline that Apple Corp. releases. But they are good computer users and avid at what they do do. Thank you, Ted P.
