Re: [nmglug] Connection to server reset

Hey folks I'm in LAX airport and trying to use my laptop. I keep getting connection reset msg, "connection to server rest". Can't load sites or get mail. Hoping this is due to my use of LAX wifi but if it continues later at my destination I wonder what is going on. No similar problem w/ phone. Any ideas? Thanks, Brian

Hi Brian, If I can't tell if the router is at fault, or if the issue is further down-stream, I typically use traceroute to see where the drop-off happens. sudo apt install traceroute traceroute google.com Also, you might be able to use hotspot on that Samsung Galaxy phone. Glad your issue was resolved. Regards, ~ Jared On 8/27/19 11:58 PM, Brian O'Keefe wrote:
