Ted; I am using aptik to save files and directories it does not seem to transfer to a usb drive directly.I need to fool with the command line to transfer to computer file/directory then cp to usb drive? and fathom the concept of the transfer: which I surmise goes thusly. do install, load aptik as program on new install, access files downoaded on usb drive do transfer thru aptik upon possible failure do cp tranfer.Am I in the ballpark? best,a On 05/24/2015 06:01 PM, Ted Pomeroy wrote:
A., good luck with the "plunge" when you are ready. Yes, I go back and forth on the separate partition for my home directory. it works both ways, and if one is always upgrading it can either save time or create new headaches. The porblem is in the settings/config files that reside in the home directory and may not be compatible with the new kernel or applications. Again, good luck, keep us posted. Thank you, Ted P.

A., Has the reinstall worked? Any progress on restoration of mail an is browser working? It would be good to hear the outcome of this whether or not it has been resolved and what you think helped, what might have been the source of the original problem? Just wondering.
