Reminder: SdC Beeks June meeting tonight 6/25 @ 6:30

Hello SDC members, We will be having our fourth SDC Beekeepers meeting of the 2026 season this Thursday June 25, starting at 6:30 PM. Our meetings are held at St John’s Methodist Church located at 1200 Old Pecos Trail…..in the Choir Room. On our agenda: Steve Wall of Buckin’ Bees will share his experience with Queen Rearing….. Imagine being able to raise your own queens, rather than having to pay $50 plus shipping for each!! As well as any issues members want to discuss or questions you may have. Once again we will be offering an early session from 6:00-6:30, dedicated to new beekeepers who can benefit from more basic information about hive inspections and such. Everyone can choose to come at either 6:00 or at 6:30. As always, there will be free smoker fuel available to all attendees. Hope to see you all there! Hello! I’ve attended a few SDCBKA meetings. I am a new beekeeper, and relatively new to Santa Fe (my husband and I are retired educators from Washington State). I’m currently going through the NMBKA Level 1 course. Also, I’m neighbors with Dean and Cindy Fry , who have been so helpful to me in the world of beekeeping. I’m looking forward attending meetings regularly and gleaning all information I can to support the bees. Best, Linda

Anyone use a Jon Peters top bar hive?

Hi, I am looking for a nuc that would fit a "Jon Peters" top bar hive body if anyone has one. I am working with someone who built a hive using this plan and it is completely different measurements than what I have available.🤷 Thanks, Amy
