NMGLugers, I tried a few edits on the meeting page so it will direct people to the Baking Co. and use the old logo picture. the link to the location page and the layout got me off base, so I stopped. I will discuss this and take advice at todays meeting at 6pm, or a little earlier at the New Baking Co. Thank you, Ted P.
Wish I was ambulatory! I'd take in my poor, ailing laptop for a transfusion or something. I've actually gotten it to a working state with pretty much the functionality I need. Lost some stuff though and have yet to do the clean install. Weirdly, some KDE apps work fine but I hadn't used them in forever. Others won't run at all. Same with Gnomish apps. I can run thunderbird from a directory but not the repo install. Same with FF though it doesn't like my profile (honest, I didn't change it) but Pale Moon runs fine and has almost all of my bookmarks, etc. Lost all my saved account info when we wiped .cache, but I am recovering those bit by bit. Mark's usb .iso works now, didn't before so I can boot that. Going to check out TestDisk for recovery. See how far I get. Will dd the drive and have all the good and the bad to drawn on. Brave Ted to take on the page. You know what was written so many decades ago, "The answer is blowin' in the wind". Must be a lot of answers then on a day like this. Enjoy whilst I watch the view over my toes of my properly elevated and encasted leg. Brian On 04/12/2018 12:07 PM, Ted Pomeroy wrote:

Brian, Thanks for your note. Sorry you are laid up. Do let me/glug know when you are better. Your computer situation sounds interesting and I would like you to let me know how you do updates and maintenance. I have been doing updates and such for several years and have developed a CHANGING routine of keeping things current and clear. Nothing is ever 'carved in stone' in the world of software, hence you never "step into the same computer twice." Good luck on your healing process, I hope all that runs smoothly for you. Take care, thank you, Ted P. On Thu, Apr 12, 2018 at 4:50 PM, Brian O'Keefe <okeefe@cybermesa.com> wrote:
