Mtg This Thurs 11/10, 1730 MST
NMGLUGers, We are scheduled to meet this week and it will be good to decide if we go in-person or virtual or both. The nmglug.org website <http://nmglug.org> still list us as virtual, but we can decide what to do via email or phone. I have been working with wine and related programs to resurrect an old graphics suite. It works, but I have discovered that the thousands of illustrations are now dated themselves and may not be things I want to print. Also, LibreOffice has many of the same capabilities for composing a page or card. Still it has been worth the effort to identify and use the wine programs. Thank you, Ted P
Last time we met in person, so this is our virtual week. It seems like we might have consensus on that alternating cadence, but if someone wants to suggest a different approach we can discuss it. Who updates the web site these days?
NMGLUGers, I'm OK for a virtual this week. I am glad that you are keeping track. And as usual in November the second meeting is not likely to occur - it would fall on Thanksgiving Day. Our history is that we don't meet on the major holidays. I have access to some website functions, but Jason is the best maintainer. I mostly post in the blog which is in the "Latest" tab. The schedule with all its links is a bit beyond me. I have changed it, but I would ask for help. Also I would like a larger quorum to express themselves on the issue. We seem to have shrunk a bit from the heyday of Internet Cafes and the boom in personal computing. Thank you, Ted P On Wed, Nov 9, 2022 at 10:00 AM Mark Galassi <mark@galassi.org> wrote:

I regularly have attended after-GLUG for the last 6 years, minus 3-6 months for the primary parts of COVID lockdown. I continue to urge and hope to see people at after-GLUG and often get amazing work done and have wonderful conversations with Jason, Geoff, and others. I often teach during GLUG proper so cannot make that time. I also continue folks to consider hopping on Mastodon at https://gnulinux.social or if you already have an account to find me at @oemb1905@gnulinux.social - having been on Mastodon since 2017, I can speak from experience that the community needs help in addressing the loads of people coming over from Twitter. Be well folks! Jonathan On 11/9/22 10:00 AM, Mark Galassi wrote:

Hi all, I took a quick stab at making https://nmglug.org/meetings/ and the RSS feed/calendar match this plan, with only slight confusion due to the upcoming Thanksgiving slot. It should continue to announce the next three meetings and locations at /meetings HTH -- sam
