Brian, Thanks for the info. I guess I'll assume that the ppa for kdenlive was not added. LeRoy -- I am the Love of God, no matter what. LeRoy Diener 213-LEROYIZ 213-537-6949 www.leroydiener.com/ Date: Fri, 22 Nov 2019 16:21:34 -0700

Normally there'd be a line for the ppa for kdenlive in this directory. You would delete it or comment it out with a # at the beginning of the line, as has been done in your example. So this is weird but may mean that you never actually added the ppa.

delete which file? I see 12 files in /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/ but none of them have the string "kdenlive" in them, nor nothing I recognize as specific to Ubuntu. or remove which line? My file /etc/apt/sources.list has 5 line, below: deb http://debian.osuosl.org/debian/ stretch main contrib non-free deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security stretch/updates main # stretch-updates, previously known as 'volatile' deb http://security.debian.org/ stretch/updates non-free main contrib deb http://debian.osuosl.org/debian/ stretch-updates non-free main contrib
