libraries have reservable community rooms as do co-ops and stores like Whole Foods. Maybe a corner of Flying Star as long as one buys a sweet and a drink. Lots of options I believe but that's here in Santa Fe

Hi Anthony, and everyone else.
Do we know if anyone has a connection to UNM? At least to the extent where we might be able to reserve a room for free?
I have no budget for this sort of thing. But I figure UNM might be willing to donate a room, maybe if we get lucky, weekly or monthly.
There are other co-working spaces that might lend us a room. But most places, I would imagine, would want to charge us.
I don't think a bar/restaurant would be ideal, but I am open to ideas.
I also forgot to mention that if you would have a preferred date/time, please let me know.
In fact here is another strawpoll, for ease.

I recently moved here, and I have been in search of local LUG in
Albuquerque. Basic Google searching shows a now retired Ubuntu Group,
the current Santa Fe LUG, and the one in Las Cruses. But I don't see an
active LUG for the Albuquerque area. Unless I am just dumb, and haven't
come across it yet.

The subject has come up on this list before. It would be nice to have
something close to UNM to bring in students. There's also likely a
sizable audience of web types around the startup part of town (ABQid,
FatPipe, etc.).
