I’ve been at go programming again recently. I’ve also been putting off learning bash again and doing some scripting in the Fish shell. It’s not an object shell but I’ve found it’s “math” and “string” commands to be a breath of fresh air. Finally I’ve been using git-annex more for managing large media files and have learned how to duplicate the behavior of perforce-style partial checkout with its “sync” and “drop” commands. Neat!

I can relate a little about rescuing a dual boot Ubuntu install where it was a simple matter of BIOS adjustment to allow a usb boot and resizing the partitions which were already in place, but not assigned correctly. Then to reset the BIOS to Legacy to boot the system as installed.
I hope others have some stories or reports of activity with GNU/Linux.
