No one turned away. All acts listed in order of appearance We Drew Lightning Michael Smith and Roland Ostheim have been creating music for almost nine years starting with the band Derail. After some changes in lineup, the band pursued its lush sound and started recording “Swimming With Orange” in 2006-07 on High Mayhem Records. Throughout the recording session there was a need to change identities to progress into a new existence. During one of the recordings sessions the studio was struck with lightning during a take on one of the bands integral songs , and We Drew Lightning was born. We Drew Lightning is propelled by Michael Smith’s bombastic drumming and Roland Ostheim’s textured guitar work. The band is a culmination of song structures and sonic improvisations in the vein of such influences as Sonic Youth, the Melvins, Pixies, Bardo Pond, Blah Blah… too much to name! Loud, Sensual, Engaging are all words that could describe their sound. We Drew Lightning are a duo of Ruthless Sweethearts that attack with a wall of sound, but bring you back down to earth only to propel you again to another planet. Pitch and Bark Pitch & Bark is a three piece art-rock trio based in Santa Fe, New Mexico – the group pushes and pulls along the spectrum of sound that guitar, bass and drums can cover and they aim to take you with them. Young Lungs<http://highmayhem.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/young-lungs1.jpg> Young Lungs, a five piece rock band from Albuquerque. They recently released their first CD Cholla. The Late Severa Wires A rare appearance by the founding band of the High Mayhem Collective. Not to be missed! These guys only play together about once a year due to scattered geographies. Launched out of Santa Fe in 2001, The Late Severa Wires has created a new breed of music that can be distinctly known as their own. New sounds emerge from collisions of air particles. Music meant to be felt as much as heard. It’s about vibration. The Wires have gone on numerous tours covering the majority of the states drawing critical acclaim for their unique ability to push the boundaries of their instruments and music. The band consists of: Ultraviolet-turntables and guitars, Mike Rowland-drums, Yozo Suzuki-guitars, Carlos Santistevan-basses * <http://www.highmayhem.org> <http://www.highmayhem.org> <http://www.highmayhem.org> www.highmayhem.org https://www.facebook.com/highmayhem
