Cairo is mean, nasty, low-down wordless lovesongs. Intricate, improvised weapons of terror. CJ Boyd (bass), John Horner (bass/drums).
iNK oN pAPER is a bass, drum, and
electronics duo from Milton Villarrubia III (drums and laptop) and
Carlos Santistevan (bass and electronics). Both members play hybridized
versions of their instruments with Milton using Midi triggers and
Ableton Live on his drums to trigger samples and signal process while
Carlos does live looping and a myriad of fx pedals on his custom upright
electric bass.

Ulnae and Angelo Harmsworth
ULNAE (Darcy Neal, Lily Taylor)
Epic experimental soundscapes of Noise made by classical
instrumentation, home made electronics, looping pedals, vocals, and
effects. Ulnae performs in Austin and Dallas, though based in Denton, TX
and was recently featured in the 35Denton Music Festival 2013. The
project formed out of a desire to integrate interests and genres- of all
kinds. Costumes, projections, rituals, unexpected gadgets, and acoustic
instrumentation add to the performance; you never know what to expect,
so come prepared with earplugs.

Arduino Workshop with Steven M. Miller
June 22 and 23 from 9am-12pm and 1-4pm each day
General ticket cost: $75 each day or $125 for both days
Student ticket cost (with ID): $60 each day or $100 for both days

Day 1:
Introduction to the Arduino microcontroller board and software programming interface (IDE)
Programming basics: data structures, programming syntax, conditional branching, etc.
Interfacing Arduino with various input & output devices (sensors/controls and actuators/displays), such as: LEDs, switches, buttons, potentiometers & pressure sensors (variable resistors), piezos, etc.
Day 2:
Arduino & Max (interactive sound)
Arduino & Processing (interactive graphics)
Both days will consist of hands-on project-based learning; a minimum of lecture, a maximum of tinkering fun!
